Printing und Piecing Together
Select your size combination using the size chart and open the PDF pattern. If no special folder was selected before downloading, you will find your file in the download folder on your computer.
In your print options, make sure that the print size is 100%, i.e. the original size. First check the size with the control square which should be exactly 10cm by 10cm when printed correctly! It is included as an extra appendix.
Our patterns can be printed in either A4 format or US letter format.
Make enough space on the floor or table. Start putting the pieces of the pattern together, similar to a puzzle.
The edge labels (A1, A2, etc.) help you to recognize the grid. Each individual sheet has a border that you can either cut off completely or leave on two sides so that you can glue the sheets together overlapping.
Make sure that you have arranged the parts according to the layout before you stick them together with adhesive tape. Make sure that there are no bubbles or bumps. Masking tape from the hardware store or Tesa tape are ideal.
Cutting Tips:
● Choose your size, the pattern sizes are based on German standard sizes (see size chart.pdf).
● Always cut along the cutting line.
● Have weights ready to secure each sheet so it doesn’t slip while gluing/ taping.
For large format printers, the patterns are saved in A-0 format, which can also be purchased on inexpensive online platforms such as: https://www.preiswertplotten.de
Or visit your nearest copy shop to have it printed there.
